Rosewood. Interchangeable. Want.

Yes, I want them. And I don’t even LIKE knitting on wood needles. So I’m going to be good. I think.

The evil lovely Robynn of Purlesence is up to her usual tricks, dammit of course. She doesn’t even have them in stock yet, but is still danging them, tantalizingly and temptingly and all those other words beginning with “T”, before us.

Here they are: Colonial’s interchangeable needle set. Rosewood. Yup, rosewood. Interchangeable.  In a gorgeous little silk case. The cables are supposed to be flexible as all get out and don’t hold a curve in the least. Did I mention they’re of rosewood? I love rosewood.

I don’t knit on wood. Nope. Not me. Don’t. < —- must keep repeating this to self.

Robynn will have them in the shop somewhere about March-ish.

    You *don’t like wood needles*?!

    Must reconsider friendship immediately.

(Or at least, shove a set of ebony Lantern Moons into your hand at earliest opportunity. If that doesn’t work, Jenkins pink ivory will take the bat.)

Srsly. Wood needles and I can get along, but I love to knit on metal. I know, I know. Unfortunately I didn’t figure this out until after I’d bought four or five pairs of Lantern Moon needles and a set of KP Harmonies. Mind you, I’ve never tried knitting with the ebony ones…!

I have a loving home for any and all Lantern Moon needles. I love them! I only have 1 set so I went off to find patterns/yarns for the 3.25 mm DPNs.

I have seen a rosewood circular needle but I haven’t yet knit with it. Awfully pretty to look at though!

Well, too bad I didn’t know that before I gave them away! Still, I gave them to a friend who is going through a rough time right now, so I gave her the needles, some lovely alpaca yarn, and a copy of Elizabeth Zimmerman’s “Knitting Without Tears”. But now I know what to get you for Christmas!
